In the age of OTT, once bigger stars who have lost their shine at the box office are smart enough to switch their priorities to OTT from the big screen. Sai Ali Khan is one such star who quickly adapted to the new norm, OTT is the future. He is the first star who acted in a Web series, ‘Sacred Games’ which is streaming on Netflix. Now, he is set to star in a direct-to-OTT film produced by Siddharth Anand.
Earlier reports hinted at a collaboration between Siddharth Anand and Saif Ali Khan on a gripping heist thriller. The movie is slated to feature the actor in a race against time for a high-stakes rescue mission, with Jaideep Ahlawat rumored to portray the antagonist. The latest updates reveal that the action-packed thriller is set to premiere exclusively on OTT platforms, and is titled ‘Jewel Thief’.
Directed by Robbie Grewal, renowned for his work in ‘RAW: Romeo Akhbar Walter’, the film bears no connection to the original ‘Jewel Thief movie starting with the legendary Dev Anand. Siddharth Anand chose this title for its fitting relevance to the storyline crafted by Robbie Grewal.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Saif Ali Khan is currently engrossed in filming his upcoming Telugu venture ‘Devara’, alongside Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, where he essays the role of the antagonist.
