Fighter Movie Gets Banned In these Countries

Fans of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone residing in Gulf countries eagerly anticipating the release of their joint project ‘Fighter’, are in for disappointing news. Film business expert and producer, Girish Johar, shared the unfortunate update that ‘Fighter’ has been banned from the release in all Gulf countries except the UAE.

The reason behind this ban remains undisclosed al the moment. Girish conveyed the setback on Twitter, stating, “In a setback, #Fighter officially banned across Middle East regions for theatrical release. Only UAE will release the film with a PG15 classification!”

A reliable source within the ‘Fighter team has also confirmed this development, excluding the UAE, in Gulf countries. However, an official statement from the makers is still awaited. Despite the hurdle with the censor board in Gulf nations, the high-octane aerial action thriller is set to hit Indian theaters on January 25.

Directed by Siddharth Anand and boasting an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi, ‘Fighter’ is produced by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures. The film stands as a tribute to the valor, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian armed forces.
