Fighter: Anil Kapoor Introduced As Group Captain Rajesh Jai Singh AKA Rocky

Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor starrer ‘Fighter’ stand as one of the most anticipated Bollywood films of 2024. The Siddharth Anand directorial has been creating significant buzz with shooting updates and new poster launches.

Today, on December 6, Anil Kapoor shared an intriguing character poster from ‘Fighter’ on instagram showcasing him in the attire of an Air Force officer. Kapoor portrays the character of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh also known as Rocky. The caption reads “Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh Call Sign: Rocky Designation: Commanding Officer Unit: Air Dragons Fighter Forever.”

Commenters flooded the section with praise for Kapoor’s dashing look in the poster. One user exclaimed “Banger!!!!!” Another wrote “Aye Aye Captain.” A bold prediction of the film grossing 5000 crores at the box office even surfaced in the comments: “Again 5000cr (red heart emoji).”

Yesterday, Deepika Padukone unveiled her character poster from ‘Fighter’ where she appears intense in the role of Squadron Leader Minal Rathore aka Minni. Sharing the poster she wrote: “Squadron Leader Minal Rathore. Call Sign: Minni. Designation: Squadron Pilot. Unit: Air Dragons. #FighterOn25thJan #Fighter.”

Prior to that, Hrithik Roshan shared his character poster as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania aka Patty.

Directed by Siddharth Anand who earlier delivered a blockbuster with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan’ ‘Fighter’ stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. It is part of a planned aerial action franchise and is scheduled for theatrical release on January 25, 2024. The film’s original release date faced multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kapoor meanwhile recently appeared in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, Saloni Batra, and Shakti Kapoor, achieving significant commercial success.
