RajiniKanth Turns 73: Superstar Rajinikanth turned 73 On December 12 and social media is abuzz with wishes and tributes to the legend. Among the first celebrities to convey birthday wishes to Thalaivar was actor Dhanush, his former son-in-law.

Every year on Rajinikanth’s birthday, his iconic films are re-released in theaters. This year his blockbuster film ‘Muthu’ saw a recent re-release and is seeing packed audiences across theatres in Tamil Nadu.

Looking ahead, Rajinikanth, following the colossal success of ‘Jailer’ in 2023 is set for the release of ‘Lal Salaam’ where he takes on an extended cameo, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
Currently, he is immersed in the shooting of ‘Thalaivar 170’ with director TJ Gnanavel of ‘Jai Bhim’ fame. Later, he will collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for ‘Thalaivar 171’, described as a experimental film rather than a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
