Latest Update on Thalaivar 171: Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is eagerly anticipating his first collaboration with superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming film tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 171’. In a recent interview, Lokesh revealed that production for the film is scheduled to start from April 2024. This marks a significant milestone for the acclaimed filmmaker and the iconic actor, Rajinikanth.
Interestingly, Kamal Haasan another stalwart of Indian cinema, was the first to extend his best wishes for this highly anticipated collaboration.
Speaking with anchor Gobinath Lokesh shared insights into the production timeline confirming that ‘Thalaivar 171’ is set to officially start filming in April 2024. Expressing confidence in completing the writing process by then, Lokesh emphasized that the movie will be a high-octane action film for Rajini Sir after an extended period.
During the interview, Lokesh revealed that Kamal Haasan personally reached out to wish him success for the project. “He phoned me and wished me good luck,” Lokesh shared, highlighting the camaraderie and support within the industry.
In addition to ‘Thalaivar 171’, Lokesh Kanagaraj unveiled his plans to work on his other projects, including ‘Kaithi 2’, ‘Vikram 2’, and ‘Rolex’. Taking a brief pause from social media, he announced this decision on December 16 emphasizing his commitment to focusing on the ambitious ‘Thalaivar 171’.
Currently engaged in the shooting of ‘Thalaivar 170’ directed by TJ Gnanavel, Rajinikanth is slated to join forces with Lokesh for ‘Thalaivar 171’ after completing his ongoing project. The big-budget extravaganza will be produced by Sun Pictures and Lokesh clarified that it will be a standalone film and not a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. The collaboration promises to be a cinematic spectacle eagerly awaited by fans and industry enthusiasts alike.
