Sardar 2: We are all well aware about Karthi‘s Sardar which was released a year ago addressing the most important issue. Karthi is one of the celebrated actors in Tamil cinema, and he impressed fans through his script selections. Collaborating with director PS Mithran, the cop drama achieved immense success, prompting the announcement of a sequel.
In the latest update on ‘Sardar 2,’ the eagerly anticipated sequel is set to commence filming in April 2024, with Karthi as the lead role. Notably, a new female lead will join the cast, and director PS Mithran has reportedly finalized the script for the film.
Preparations for the sequel are in full swing, with PS Mithran embarking on a hunt for the location and the shooting schedule slated for April 2024. Yuvan Shankar Raja, taking over from GV Prakash Kumar will be scoring the music for ‘Sardar 2.’ Additionally, George C. Williams, the cinematographer for the original ‘Sardar,’ will continue his role in the sequel.
Despite his busy schedule, Karthi is committed to completing ongoing projects with directors Nallan Kumarasamy and Prem Kumar before diving into ‘Sardar 2.’ Furthermore, Karthi has plans for a sequel to ‘Theeran Adhigaram Ondrum,’ reuniting with director H Vinoth, who is prioritizing the sequel following a delay in his project with Kamal Haasan (‘KH 233’) due to the actor’s prior commitments.
