Maidaan Undergoes Censor Formalities With Zero Cuts

Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated biographical sports drama ‘Maidaam’, has recently received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts. Sources indicate that the film impressed CBFC members earning a U/A certificate.

The board has requested the inclusion of a disclaimer affirming that “The film is a fictional portrayal inspired by real events available in the public domain, incorporating the perspectives of legendary football players and the research conducted by writers with fictional elements”. Clocking in at three hours and one minute, ‘Maidaan’ promises an extensive cinematic experience. The narrative of ‘Maidaan’ delves into the life of Rahim who is the coach of the Indian Football tem credited with leading to victory at the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film Stars Aay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajrao Rao in pivotal roles.

Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla ‘Maidaan’ features a musical score by AR Rahman with lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. Scheduled for release on April 10th, ‘Maidaan’ will encounter competition from the Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’.
