Mythri Movie Makers Puts a Hold on Rs 130 Crore Project with Ravi Teja. The esteemed production house Mythri Movie Makers, has reportedly decided to suspend the film due to budget constraints that were projected to exceed Rs 130 crores.
Sources indicate that concerns over the budget primarily stem from the combined expenses of Ravi Teja’s remuneration, director’s fees, a leading actress’s fees and the main cast, totaling approximately Rs 50 crores. Additionally significant expenses for top technicians were contributing factors especially considering the film’s planned 130-day shooting schedule.
Despite facing setbacks with two recent releases ‘Ravanasura’ and ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ Ravi Teja is reportedly unwilling to take a pay cut for the upcoming project directed by Gopichand Mallineni. Extensive negotiations to reduce the budget took place leveraging the successful track record of the actor-director du, known for delivering hits like ‘Don Seenu’ ‘Balupu’ and ‘Krack.’ However, challenges emerged as the directorial team insisted on maintaining the film’s quality without compromising the budget.
The Ravi Teja and Gopichand Mallineni combination has enjoyed success in the past earning them a reputation for delivering entertaining blockbusters. Mythri Movie Makers recognized for producing lavish entertainers with prominent stars like Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR and Allu Arjun aimed for a feasible budget for this specific film. The decision to put the project on hold was influenced by the necessity to balance financial considerations especially given the current market dynamics where digital and Hindi dubbing rights have witnessed a significant decline.
In navigating these challenges the production house remains committed to delivering high-quality entertainment and is expected to reassess the project under more favorable conditions.
