Vijay Deverakonda went to Coimbatore to promote his forthcoming movie Kushi earlier this week. He interacted with Chennai-based film media. He was asked about Chiranjeevi’s recent flops at the box office.
Vijay Deverakonda gave a befitting reply, saying that Chiru and Rajinikanth are superstars beyond hit and flops. “Rajinikanth sir has hits and flops continuously, but his recent movie Jailer collected Rs 500 crore. We all have to shut up and watch when he does such a thing. Chiranjeevi might have continuous flops, but if he put his foot down and meets the right director, he can do it. Last Sankranthi, Chiranjeevi’s film did a huge business. If Chiranjeevi sir decides, if the film has the right director and the engery, it will happen. Chiranjeevi sir changed the entire Telugu film industry, be it through his acting or dancing. He has inspired thousands of people to become actors. We should never judge them by success and failure. They are far bigger than success and failure,” Vijay said.
“Just respect our legendary stars. It is great to see them all doing such huge films,” the actor said.
Kushi is directed by Shiva Nirvana and is slated to release in theatres on Sep 1, 2023.
