Victory Venkatesh’s much anticipated 75th film, ‘Saindhav,’ has been generating excitement ever since its announcement. The primary reason for this immediate excitement is Venkatesh playing a raw and intense role after a long time, He did such kind of role in ‘Narappa,’ which was directly released on OTT.
Directed by the talented Sailesh Kolanu, known for the quality of his work in ‘HIT 1 & 2,’ ‘Saindhav’ has completed all censor formalities and is set to have a grand release on January 13th, coinciding with Sankranthi.
As the release date approaches, the team has revealed the film’s theatrical trailer, providing a clear glimpse into the plot and hinting at a substantial action component along with deeply emotional father-daughter dynamics.
The trailer begins with a heartwarming note, featuring a baby dancing and mimicking her father to a nice and breezy musical backdrop. This initial sequence establishes the strong bond between the father and daughter. While the daughter is everything to the father, he is a superhero in her eyes.
Unfortunately, the plot is twisted as the girl is diagnosed with a rare disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The cure for the illness requires an expensive injection, costing 15 Cr. Determined to save his daughter, the protagonist revisits his old friends and enemies. The trailer raises intriguing questions about his violent past and its connection to a group of antagonists played by Arya, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and others.
Director Sailesh Kolanu, who has maintained secrecy about the movie’s plot, reveals its essence through the trailer. As indicated, the heart of the movie is the baby, and the father, torn between choosing the path of peace for his daughter and resorting to violence for her sake, adds depth to the narrative. The director skillfully blends these contrasting layers, making the film appeal to both family audiences and lovers of action and thriller genres.
Venkatesh, in the role of Saiko, shoulders the film with his remarkable screen presence, delighting fans across class and mass audience. Portraying a typical middle-class father in some scenes and showcasing wild intensity in confrontations with enemies, Venkatesh delivers a stellar performance. The last two episodes of the trailer are particularly impactful, Where Venkatesh warns in his style. The ensemble cast, including Baby Sara, Shraddha Srinath, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arya, Ruhani Sharma, and Andrea Jeremiah, play their roles with conviction, adding further anticipation to the upcoming release.
