Ranbir Kapoor-Sai Pallavi Ramayan: Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are set to embark on Nitesh Tiwari‘s highly anticipated project, ‘Ramayana’, which aims to bring the revered Hindu epic to life on the silver screen. Recent reports reveal that Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will take on the role of Sita, and Yash is set to play Raavan in this cinematic adaptation. Production for the film is scheduled to kick off in February/March 2024, with a targeted release in the second half of 2025.

The visionary director, Nitesh Tiwari has meticulously designed the world of ‘Ramayana’ by collaborating with the Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG for production. The filmmakers are keen to introduce innovative filmmaking technology, with extensive pre-production efforts, including 3D scans and look tests, already completed with the lead actors.

KGF sensation Yash, who has an extended appearance in Part one will join the film’s team in July after concluding his commitments for ‘Toxic’. Initial reports suggested Yash’s hesitation to portray Raavan who was mindful of his fans expectations. However, he was ultimately captivated by the project’s visuals and Nitesh Tiwari’s vision for a faithful retelling of the Ramayana.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash have undergone various tests and scans as part of pre-production process to ensure an authentic portrayal of their iconic characters. Ranbir is expected to visit the offices of DNEG in Los Angeles for further pre-production work early next year.

“Ramayana: Part One” is anticipated to unveil in the second half of 2025, with ongoing discussions with actor Sunny Deol for the role of Hanuman. However, Sunny Deol’s participation remains unconfirmed. it was reported that alia bhatt was considered for the role of sita in this ambitious cinematic undertaking. As the project progresses, the team is dedicated to delivering a visually stunning and faithful rendition of this timeless epic.
