Youth sensation Vijay Deverakonda has been promoting his recent release Kushi in a big way. The film garnered mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. Yesterday, the Kushi success meet was held in Vizag. The lead man also promised that he would give Rs 1 cr to the 100 people who are in need. The applications haven’t been opened for the charity.
We have learned from our sources that Kushi has reaped profits in the US. The films need another Rs 4 cr for breakeven in Nizam. In other areas- Ceded, Vizag, Krishna, Guntur, Nellore, East and West Godavari, the film will incur losses. Break-even is not possible. According to reliable sources, Kushi is barely surviving at the box office. The film has been facing rejection. The film’s collections fell flat in most of the areas.
Kushi has been directed by Shiva Nirvana. The film was financed by the Mythri Movie Makers. The songs are good, and the chemistry between Vijay Deverkonda and Samantha is watchable. Samantha went on a vacation before the release of the film. She is back in Hyderabad but has been avoiding the media. She is not at all interested in promoting her own movie.
