After the success of ‘Vikram’, Kamal Hassan has fully immersed himself in the world of cinema, actively involved in either producing or acting in multiple films. The latest buzz in Kollywood is that Ulaganayagan himself might make a special appearance in Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming patriotic drama ‘SK21’.
Produced by Kamal Hassan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International, ‘SK21’ is Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Known for his work in ‘Rangoon’. Sources close to the film reveal that discussions are underway to bring Kamal Haasan on board for a cameo role in ‘SK21.’ The film is centered around the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who sacrificed his life in a counter-insurgency operation in Kashmir in 2014. Although talks are ongoing, an official confirmation from the makers is eagerly awaited.
Major Mukund Varadarajan, honored with India’s highest peacetime gallantry award, the ashok chakra, bravely lost his life in 2014 during an encounter with terrorists in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. His valor and leadership were evident as he eliminated three terrorists and rescued his team.
The ensemble cast of ‘SK21’ includes Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, Lallu Prasath, Gaurav Venkatesh, Mir Salman, and others. The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash, marking his first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. Known for his comic roles, Sivakarthikeyan is undergoing a significant transformation for ‘SK 21,’ shedding weight and learning martial arts to embody the role of the brave army officer.
