After much anticipation, Padmashri Kamal Haasan’s highly awaited project, ‘Indian 2’ has successfully wrapped up its filming phase. Director Shankar is currently engrossed in the post-production process, diligently preparing for the film’s scheduled release in June of this year.
The production team has unveiled plans for a grand unveiling of ‘Indian 2’ on June 15, 2024. Additionally, there’s been chatter surrounding the completion of ‘Indian 3’, the sequel to its predecessor. In a recent media interaction, Kamal Haasan addressed the delays in production emphasizing the significance of delivering quality content over adhering to strict timelines. He confirmed the completion for both ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Indian 3’, with post-production activities for the former in progress, and plans to kickstart work on the latter soon.
The seasoned actor also provided updates on his other ventures, revealing that filming for Mani Ratnam’s ‘Thug Life’ is set to commence after the ongoing election campaign. Furthermore, Kamal Haasan disclosed his cameo appearance in the film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. ‘Indian 2’ boasts a stellar ensemble cast, featuring Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rahul Preet Singh, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Director Shankar reportedly employed CGI and body doubles to immortalize late actors Vivek and Nedumudi Venu on screen, adding a unique and poignant dimension to the film.
