Kajol is the third star to fall victim to the deepfake video, following Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif. The explosion of deepfake videos, a technical phenomenon that blurs the barrier between fact and fiction, has caused a fundamental disturbance in the internet over the last month. A deep fake video of Kajol has gone viral across all social media sites.
A faked video of Kajol has surfaced online, adding to the latest string of deepfake controversies. The original clip stars TikTok influencer Rosie Breen, who shared it as part of the ‘Get Ready With Me’ trend.
The new video comes as deepfake suspicions grow following the viralization of a video of another popular actor, Rashmika Mandanna. In the deep fake, Breen’s face has been replaced with Kajol’s. The video shows the ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ actor changing clothes in front of the camera.
As per the latest buzz, the original video was of a social media influencer, according to the fact-checking tool BOOM, and Kajol’s face had been morphed into the video. For a split second, the altered footage shows the original woman’s face. According to the report, the original video was posted on TikTok on June 5 as part of the “Get Ready With Me” (GRWM) trend.
