Dunki Is The Lowest Budget Movie In SRK’s Career

Dunki: As the highly anticipated Christmas 2023 release, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, prepares to grace the big screen on December 21, 2023, cinephiles are in for a treat. Starring Shah Rukh Khan alongside Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles, Dunki promises to unravel a captivating social dramedy.

What sets Dunki apart, besides its star-studded cast and compelling narrative, is its distinction as one of the least expensive films in Shah Rukh Khan’s illustrious career. Credit goes to the meticulous planning of director Rajkumar Hirani and his dedicated team.

Sources reveal that the production cost of Dunki, excluding the remuneration of SRK and Rajkumar Hirani, stands at a modest Rs. 90 crores. “Rajkumar Hirani, as a writer, director, and editor, possesses a clear vision for every shot. His efficient planning and execution allowed Dunki to wrap up its shoot in a mere 70 days,” disclosed an insider.

Breaking down the budget further, the production cost, excluding talent fees, is Rs. 90 crores, with an additional allocation of Rs. 30 to 35 crores for print and publicity. Given the competitive landscape, a substantial amount will be invested in marketing the film. The overall production cost, inclusive of print and publicity, falls in the range of Rs. 125 to 130 crores, emphasized a source.

As Dunki gears up for its cinematic journey, it not only promises a delightful viewing experience but also showcases the directorial powers of Rajkumar Hirani in delivering quality entertainment with economic efficiency.
