Shahrukh Khan has created history by achieving three consecutive box office hits in the same year. Among them, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ stand as 1000 Cr blockbusters, while ‘Dunki’ amassed close to Rs 500 Crores globally. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Dunki’ delves into the theme of illegal migration to foreign shores, colloquially known as the Donkey Fight.
Released last Christmas, ‘Dunki’ has now made its debut on the OTT platform. Netflix, the streaming giant, unveiled the film’s Valentine’s Day, announcing, “Pack your bags! After a Dunki around the world, @iamsrk is coming home. Dunki, now streaming on Netflix!”. ‘Dunki’ narrates the story of a group of friends striving to pursue better opportunities abroad. Unable to secure visas, they embark on a journey to cross borders illegally. Alongside Shah Rukh Khan, the film features Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles.
Produced by Gauri Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, this comedy-drama is a collaboration between Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover also play significant roles in the movie.
