Going into detail, filmmaker Nag Ashwin who is directing Prabhas’ highly anticipated film Project K, has once approached Mrunal for a key role in the film. But, at the same time, the makers of Sita Ramam were in a search of female lead. Instead of casting Mrunal in his film, Nag Ashwin has suggested Mrunal’s name for Sita’s role. That is how Mrunal has lost a golden opportunity to be part of Project K.
Though she missed the golden opportunity, Mrunal has scored a remarkable hit with her debut film Sita Ramam, and she has marked herself niche in Tollywood.
It is rumoured that Disha Patani replaced Mrunal Thakur in Project K, yet there is still no clarity regarding the same.
Project K is a Sci-Fi film, which is being made with a lavish budget of 500+crs under Vyjayanthi Movie banners. The film will land in theatres on 12th January 2024 on a special eve of Sankranthi.
