Chiranjeevi’s upcoming movie Bholaa Shankar is gearing up for theatrical release on August 11, 2023. The film is directed by Meher Ramesh. Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh will be seen as the female leads in the film. Cinematography Dudley had an interaction with the media about the remake.
Bhola Shankar is your debut film in Telugu. Please share your experience.
I and Meher Ramesh are friends for a long time. Bholaa Shankar happened during the time of lockdown when Ramesh called me. I asked for details about the actor. I was shell-shocked when I heard the name of Chiranjeevi. I flew down to Hyderabad from Mumbai to discuss the film.
What’s your real name? Tell us about your background.
Dudley is my nickname, and Rajendra is my original name. I was born and bought up in Tamil Nadu.
How was your experience working with Chiranjeevi?
Chiranjeevi is an encyclopedia. He is a very punctual person, and he will be ready to work at any time. Even if the director says the shot has to be given by 7 am. He is very dedicated to his craft.
Is it a remake of Vedhalam movie? Did you incorporate any changes for the Telugu movie?
We discussed everything with Chiranjeevi before making the film. The changes will match the aura of Chiranjeevi. Bhola Shankar is going to be better than the Tamil original.
Which was the toughest scene to make?
I feel the toughest scene in making Bhola Shankar is the interval block. It is a very big action scene. The whole movie is going to be a visual treat.

Every moment spent on the sets of Bhola Shankar is memorable and precious. There was never any pressure on the sets. The action scenes came out well. For sure, the audience will love it.
Did you learn anything from Chiranjeevi?
I have learned so many things from him. He is truly an inspiration. He is a very perfect person who comes on time to sets. Punctuality and perfection are what I learned from him.
