After the remarkable success of ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ Deepika Padukone is gearing up for her upcoming projects including ‘Fighter’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. One of her ventures, a long-delayed Hollywood remake titled ‘The Intern’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, is once again in the limelight amidst the excitement. Following the 2021 announcement where Deepika revealed her collaboration with Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan for “The Intern,” an official Hindi remake, reports now suggest that the film is set to resume production. While initial speculations hinted at shelving there are indications that Deepika will commence filming in January 2024. Although no official confirmation has been released by the makers.
Amit Ravinderanath Sharma is slated to direct the film with Deepika Padukone and Sunir Kheterpal handling production duties. Reportedly the shoot is scheduled to begin in January 2024. Since its announcement the film has experienced multiple delays due to various circumstances.
The Intern remake will mark Deepika’s second production venture after Chhapaak. She continues to be actively involved in the project serving as both a producer and actor. Despite numerous delays the makers are finally gearing up to roll the cameras.
