Actor Vishal Visits CBI Office: Actor Vishal, who predominantly works in Tamil Industry, recently paid a visit to the CBI office in Mumbai. He was questioned about the Central Board of Film Certification (CFBC) bribery case, which he filed an FIR in September of this year.

Vishal shared his experience on his social media handle, stating it was a new encounter for him and expressing satisfaction with the conduct of the inquiry. He emphasized the need to combat corruption in real life, not just on the screen.

The CBI lodged an FIR against three persons and unidentified officials of the CBFC in September on the allegation that Vishal had to pay Rs 6.5 lakh for the certificate of the Hindi-dubbed version of his film Mark Antony. Allegedly, a CBFC official informed his team that such payments were common. The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting responded promptly, expressing zero tolerance for corruption and initiating an inquiry. Searches were conducted at four Mumbai locations, and an FIR was lodged against private individuals and unidentified CBFC officials.

Vishal, in his statement, urged the public to cooperate and share information about any instances of harassment by the CBFC. The actor’s stand against corruption extends beyond reel life to real-life actions.
