Following the success of ‘Premalu’, another sensation from Malayalam cinema, ‘Manjummel Boys’, a gripping survival thriller, has stormed the Mollywood box office as a massive blockbuster. Notably, ‘Manjummel Boys’ has become the first Malayalam film to surpass the Rs 200 crore mark, establishing itself as the new industry hit in Malayalam cinema. The film is now set to be dubbed into Telugu with the same title.
Directed by Chidambaram S Poduval, ‘Manjummel Boys’ draws inspiration from a real-life incident in 2006. The story revolves around a group of friends from Kochi and their extraordinary efforts to rescue a trapped friend in Gunacave, Kodaikanal. Starring Soubin Shahir, Ganapathi, Khalid Rahman, and Sreenath Bhasi in lead roles, the film received immense acclaim from Malayali audiences and garnered a strong following across other language-speaking audiences. Now, the popular Tollywood production house, Mythri Movie Makers, is all set to introduce this Indian box office sensation to Telugu audiences on April 6th.
Produced by Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony under the Parava Films banner, the Telugu version is presented by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili With Shyju Khalid behind the camera and Sushin Shyam providing the music, the film promises to enthrall Telugu viewers. Vivek Harshan serves as the editor, while Ajayan Chalissery handles production design duties.
