Victory Venkatesh’s landmark 75th film, ‘Saindhav’, directed by the renowned Kolanu Sailesh of HIT franchise fame, generated significant buzz before its release, showcasing Venkatesh in a ferocious avatar. However, despite the anticipation, the film that hit theatres for Sankranthi turned out to be a substantial disappointment, quickly disappearing from screens just three days after the festival.
Speculations are now circulating about the potential digital debut of ‘Saindhav’ on Amazon Prime Video, approximately a month after its theatrical release on January 13, 2024, with a potential premiere date of February 2, 2024. However, the audience eagerly awaits an official confirmation from the production team or the OTT platform.
The storyline follows Saindhav Koneru, aka Saiko, a simple and endearing family man living with his wife Manogna, and daughter Gayathri. Despite his dark past, when Gayathri falls ill with spinal muscular atrophy and requires a Rs 17 Crore injection, Saiko must revisit his old ways to save his daughter. The narrative unfolds as he confronts a ruthless gangster and an old adversary, Vikas Malik, portrayed by Nawazuddin.
Featuring a stellar cast including Shraddha Srinath, Arya, Nawazudding Siddiqui, Andrea Jeremiah, Mukesh Rishi, Baby Sara, Ruhani Sharma, and others, this action-packed drama is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under the Niharika Entertainment banner, with Santhosh Narayanan as the music director.
