The intensification of the controversy surrounding Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan’s recent sexist remarks about star heroine Trishna Krishnan during a press meeting is being witnessed daily. His comments were strongly condemned by Trisha, who declared that she would never work with him again.
The actress has received support from numerous celebrities, and in response, a statement lacking an apology was issued by Mansoor Ali Khan. The situation has been further escalated with the involvement of the National Commission for Women (NCW).
Today, the issue has been taken suo moto cognizance of by the NCW, and the Tamil Nadu Director General of Police (DGP) has been directed to invoke IPC Section 509 B and other relevant laws against Mansoor Ali Khan for his offensive comments. His arrest is being demanded by the public, and further developments on this issue are eagerly awaited.
Tamil star, Thalapathy Vijay’s recent theatrical release film is ‘Leo’. Leo opened to mixed reviews but it did pretty well at the box office. It is one of the biggest box office hits from Tamil cinema this year. The film is making its OTT debut 5 weeks after its theatrical release, which is about the standard timeframe these days. Leo is ready to stream on Netflix on 24 November 2023.
