International Film Festival Of India 2023 To Showcase Regional Films

International Film Festival Of India 2023:

The 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will celebrate the country’s cinematic and cultural diversity by screening films from the east, south, north, and west during a unique five-day program starting November 22, organizers announced on monday.

Films in Bengali, Assamese, Odiya, Manipuri, and north-eastern films will be screened on November 22, while Tamil and Malayalam films will be screened on November 23. On November 24, Punjabi, Dogri, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Urdu, and Chhattisgarhi films will be presented, while Konkani, Marathi, and Gujarati films will be played the next day. Kannada and Telugu films will captivate the audience on November 26.

“India, with its rich tapestry of cultures and traditions. From North to South, East to West, embodies our strength in unity amid diversity. To celebrate this harmony, #IFFI54 presents a five-day program, ‘Celebrating Cultures of India’, featuring films from different parts of the country. Join us for this incredible cinematic celebration,” the official handle of the festival posted on Instagram.

In addition, a new segment dubbed Restored Classics will be featured, presenting seven world premieres of top-notch restorations from damaged celluloid reels of Indian Classics by NFDC-NFAI under the National Film Heritage Mission (NFHM).

IFFI 2023, which opens on November 20, will include stars from the Indian and worldwide cinema industries. Michael Douglas, Brendan Galvin, BSunny Deol, Rani Mukerjee, Vidya Balan, John Goldwater, Vijay Sethupathi, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddhiqui, Kay Kay Menon, Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, and Manoj Bajpayee are among other who will participate in this memorable event.
