Speculations have been rampant for several days that Vijay’s last film is going to be bankrolled by Tollywood’s leading production house DVV Entertainment. Now the latest update is that critically acclaimed director Vetrimaaran is going to helm this project. According to sources in Kollywood, Thalapathy Vijay is in discussion with Vetrimaaran to collaborate for his final film before he retires from the silver screen and moves on to his newly announced Political Party.
VetriMaaran, renowned for his realistic and hard-hitting films, has reportedly narrated a powerful story to Vijay, who was impressed by the script. Reports also suggest that the film was based on a book titled, ‘Shoes Of The Dead’ by Kota Neelima. Reportedly, Vetrimaaran has bought the rights to the book to adapt it for the screen.
However, nothing has been officially confirmed regarding this collaboration. Vetrimaaran, known for his acclaimed works like ‘Aadukalam,’ ‘Visaaranai,’ and ‘Asuran,’ is presently occupied with production duties for ‘Viduthalai 2,’ which garnered significant attention at IFFR.
