Renowned Telugu producer Dvv Danayya’s highly anticipated venture into Tamil cinema alongside superstar Vijay Thalapathy has encountered a setback due to creative disparities. Despite their strong rapport Danayya has opted to withdraw from the project originally conceived as a lavish action-adventure film.
Recognized for his work on the epic ‘RRR’ featuring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, Danayya eagerly sought collaboration with Vijay and had enlisted Tamil director H Vinoth. However unforeseen challenges and blocking the progress prompted a separation. This development arises amidst a surge in collaborations between the Telugu and Tamil film industries. Vijay’s recent successful collaboration with Telugu producer Dil Raju for ‘Varisu’ underscored the potential for inter-industry projects. Danayya’s ambitious endeavor aimed to further bolster this trend by producing a high-budget film with Vijay.
Though this particular project may not materialize, both Dvv Danayya and Vijay have promising ventures on the horizon. Danayya is currently immersed in the production of the Rs 200 crore action film ‘OG’ starring Pawan Kalyan and ‘Saripodha Sanivaram’ featuring Nani and SJ Suryah. Meanwhile, Vijay continues to be a coveted figure in the South Indian film industry.
