Civil Court Stops RGV’s Vyooham Release

Ram Gopal Varma faced an unexpected setback as a civil court delivered a surprising blow, issuing an order to halt the release of RGV’s film ‘Vyooham’ on OTT and other platforms. Nara Lokesh, the TDP national general secretary, took legal action by filing a petition in the civil court, seeking to prevent the release of ‘Vyooham.’ In response to the court’s investigation, a stay order was issued, effectively putting the brakes on the film’s release. Notices have been sent to the concerned parties, and the court has scheduled the next hearing for the 27th of this month.

In a parallel legal move, Nara Lokesh has escalated the matter to the Telangana High Court, filing a writ petition challenging the censor certificate granted to Ram Gopal Varma’s film ‘Vyooham.’ The petition asserts the presence of objectionable scenes in the movie.

Lokesh, in the writ petition, contends that the film was crafted with a political agenda, aimed at tarnishing the image of Chandrababu and the TDP. The hearing for this writ petition is slated for the 26th of this month in the Telangana High Court.

Simultaneously, the civil court’s stay order has cast a shadow over the film’s scheduled release on December 29, 2023. The legal developments surrounding ‘Vyooham’ have added a layer of uncertainty, turning the spotlight on the intersection of law and cinema in this intriguing saga.
