Recently, with Bengaluru grappling with a severe water scarcity problem, Chiru took to his social media platforms to propose a solution.
Recent reports shed light on Bengaluru, Karnataka’s struggle with a water crisis worsened by soaring temperatures, resulting in drought-like conditions across the state. In response to this urgent situation, Megastar Chiranjeevi shared his insights on water conservation through his official X handle, underscoring the imperative need for collective action to alleviate the crisis and offering practical suggestions.
Chiranjeevi posted a tweet in Kannada language to make it easier for Kannadigas to understand. He stressed the importance of conserving water, especially in the wake of the situation in Bengaluru. He explained the measures he had taken to preserve water at his farmhouse in Bengaluru, and demonstrated how they had been effective in addressing similar challenges in other places.
According to his tweet, strategically positioned recharge wells, drilled to depths ranging from 20 to 36 feet, have been installed across his property. Chiranjeevi highlighted the advantages of recharge wells over recharge pits, citing their capacity to store larger water volumes. Additionally, he disclosed his adoption of permaculture principles aimed at environmental rejuvenation and self-sufficiency. He elaborated on the utilization of mulching techniques involving dead leaves and wood chips, coupled with appropriate ground cover in gardens, to minimize soil evaporation and effectively conserve water.
