Animal Will End Its Fun Ride Below 1000 Crores

Ranbir Kapoor’s latest blockbuster, ‘Animal,’ directed by Sandeep Vanga, has garnered immense success marking a long-awaited monumental success for the actor and his fans. The film has dominated the box office since its release on December 1, accumulating an impressive Rs 860+ Crores in its first 19 days.

Initially, ‘Animal’ was on the journey to create history in Indian cinema by crossing the Rs 1000 crore mark, challenging the highest-grossing films, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan,’ in Bollywood. However, as the third week unfolds, the film is experiencing a gradual decline in collections after a two week dynamic start.

On its 18th day, the film secured Rs 5.7 Crores and on the following day December 19, it added another Rs 5 crore to its total. The cumulative collection for ‘Animal’ now stands at Rs 523 crore net in India and Rs 860 Crores gross globally over 19 days. With the majority of screens shifting to Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ and Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ starting December 21, ‘Animal’ is expected to conclude its lifetime run around Rs 900 Crores, with slim chances of reaching the Rs 1000 crore mark.

The film, being Adult-rated and sharing screens during its initial days with the release of ‘Sam Bahadur,’ faced a setback of about Rs 100 Crores. Without these factors, ‘Animal’ could have easily surpassed the Rs 1000 crore milestone at the box office.
