March Has Become The New Target For Mid-Level Heroes.

The issue of release dates has become a significant concern for Tollywood filmmakers, prompting competition for dates more than three months in advance. This intense competition has led to several movie postponements, causing a certain level of chaos in the industry. The upcoming month of March 2024 is anticipated to be particularly crucial for mid-level heroes.

Ram Pothineni is set to release ‘Double Ismart’ on March 8, making the announcement early in the shooting process. Vishwak Sen, though initially hesitant to move from December, is now targeting a March release for ‘Gangs of Godavari,’ possibly on the same day as Ram’s film. Even Vijay Deverakonda, who reportedly opted out of the Sankranti race, is eyeing a March release for ‘Family Star,’ with official details expected after post-production completion.

Sandeep Kishan’s ‘Ooru Peru Bhairavakona’ is also considering March as the optimal release window. Given that February is considered a dry season for Tollywood, many filmmakers are leaning towards March for their releases, including smaller films like ‘Ambajipeta Marriage Band.’

From April onward, a string of pan-Indian movies is expected, prompting mid-level heroes to target March for their releases. Producers are keen on securing theaters before April, leading to a wait-and-watch approach as February concludes. As of now, ‘Tillu Square’ stands out as the notable release in February, and the industry eagerly awaits how the landscape evolves in March.
