Naga Chaitanya ‘Dhootha’: Prime Video premiered its highly anticipated Telugu Original series, Dhootha, at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The star-studded gala event was graced by lead cast members Naga Chaitanya Akkineni and Parvathy Thiruvothu, producer Sharrath Marar of NorthStar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., and director Vikram K. Kumar. Notable attendees included Sushant Sreeram, country director, Prime Video, India, Shri Prithul Kumar, Director – IFFI, and Smt. Delilah M. Lobo, Vice Chairman of Entertainment Society of Goa.

Expressing excitement about Dhootha’s IFFI premiere, Sushant Sreeram, country director, Prime Video, India, highlighted the series as a perfect addition to their Telugu content. Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, making his streaming debut, shared his enthusiasm for exploring the OTT space and praised the global reach of Prime Video.

Talking about his streaming debut, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better series to make my streaming debut. As an actor I consume a lot of content on OTT, and always wanted to explore the space. The collaborative aspect of working in a series with a more extended engagement with the same character and fellow actors, is intriguing and refreshing. Courtesy of the reach of Prime Video, stories from all over the country and different regions and languages are reaching a global audience, which is an excellent opportunity for any artist.”

Parvathy Thiruvothu, discussing her decision to join Dhootha, emphasized the uniqueness of the script, describing it as unlike anything she had done before. Director Vikram Kumar, guided by his instincts, shared the evolution of Dhootha from a suspense-thriller to a deeper, more meaningful narrative. Producer Sharrath Marar commended the series as one of the most ambitious Telugu projects, reflecting the dedication of the creative team.

Dhootha is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 1 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, promising a captivating and multi-lingual viewing experience for audiences worldwide.
