Mansion 24 Movie Review: Anchor Ohmkar is known for producing TV shows. He is now back with a web series titled Mansion 24. The web series also features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh, Satya Raj, Avika Gor, and others in key roles. Currently, the film is available on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Plot: Amrutha (Varalaxmi Sarathkumar) is an investigative journalist. Her father Kaalidas (Satyaraj) is an archeologist who went missing. The police department thinks that he ran away. The media describes him as a traitor, which damages his family’s reputation. His wife (Tulasi) goes into depression. Tulasi starts finding out about his husband. In the process, Amrutha goes to an old mansion where Kaalidas was last seen. There is one lady over there who warns Amrutha not to go inside saying that whoever goes inside won’t be come back. What happens to Amrutha inside the house forms the story.

Plus Points:

  • Lead cast
  • Some thrilling moments

Minus points:

  • Few episodes are not engaging or thrilling

Analysis:

Mansion 24 has a unique title. Hotstar has been bringing out web series meant for the Telugu audience. More often than not, it has relied on thrillers, dark dramas etc.

In the latest instance, it teams up with an ensemble cast who know what they are up to. The result is a mixed bag but we buy into the series.

Verdict: Mansion 24 is a routine crime thriller with different storylines and timelines. The film has an interesting cast but the director failed to shape the characters well. The twists in the series are predictable. The technical values are rich. The BGM is also a huge plus point. Overall, Mansion 24 is okay to watch.
