Maa Oori Polimera 2 Movie Review: Maa Oori Polimera was released on OTT in 2021. Now, the team of that movie is back with a sequel, titled Maa Oori Polimera 2. The film has generated much hype amongst the audience.

Here’s our review:

Plot: Jangaiah (Bala Aditya) and his brother Komuraiah (Satyam Rajesh) go missing. SI Ravindra (Rakendu Mouli), who has been posted in the town Jasthipalli, decides to trace the reason behind their disappearance and some mysterious deaths. Meanwhile, a group of Archaeologists are trying to discover something at an abandoned village temple.

Where is Komuraiah? What happened to Jangaiah? Will he be able to find his brother? What is the secret behind the temple? That’s what the rest of the movie is all about.

Performances: Director Anil Vishwanath lets his actors stay focused on their performances. Satyam Rajesh does a commendable job in a bold role with moral ambiguities. He successfully runs the show with his expressions. The dialogues are less in number. Getup Srinu, Rakendu Mouli and other male actors are very good.

Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Ramya Sharma (as Kavitha) and the artist who played Ramula are solid as well. Amongst the three, it is the first one who delivers a towering performance.

Plus Points:

  • Storyline
  • Racy screenplay in the second half
  • Music (especially the BGM in tense scenes)
  • Production values

Minus Points:

  • The failure to tell the story in a clear-cut manner for those who are new to the ‘Polimera’ franchise.

Analysis:

The film is a sequel. Without a doubt, the brand value of ‘Polimera’ has gone up like anything in recent months. The fact that the film under review is enjoying encouraging openings this Friday says it all.

The film ends with a cliffhanger. There are some questions that will be answered in the third part. The casting and the canvas of the film are respectable.

‘Polimera 2’ has the right padding in commercial terms. The mystery thriller, where black magic and ‘chetha badi’ become mainstays of the plot, is unique in some respects.

Verdict: Maa Oori Polimera 2 is a decent thriller with exciting scenes in the second half. Watch it!
