Indian cricketer MS Dhoni is a favourite crickters to many of the Indians. Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni has started a new production house, which is named as Dhoni Entertainment. The first film under Dhoni Entertainment is LGM: Let’s Get Married. Check out the review of LGM before you reserver your tickets.

Plot: Gowtham (Harish Kalyan) and Meera (Ivana) work together in the same company. They have been dating for more than two years now but their relationship is yet to hit the bull’s eye. The guy decides to take the relationship to next level in whichever way possible. He proposes to Meera, who neither says ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to him. However, she keeps one condition before accepting his love. Meera tells Gowtham to plan a trip with her mother (Nadhiya) so that she can spend some time with her future mother-in-law before getting married.

Gowtham convinces his mom Leela for a Coorg trip. What happens during the trip? Will Meera win her mother-in-law’s heart? What will be Gowtham’s mom’s reaction when she gets to know that the trip was planned with a motive in mind? Answers to these questions are found as the story progresses.

Performances: Harish Kalyan needs to learn a lot about acting. He is so good-looking. And his acting is like living the role. He makes the audience fall in love with him and the film. Ivana’s acting doesn’t score any brownie points, though. The lead actors Harish and Ivana’s performances are just okay in some scenes. It is a delight to watch Nadiya of Attarintiki Daredi fame in LGM after a long time. She is the only saviour of the film.

Thumbs Up:

Concept Some one-liners

Thumbs Down:

Weak narration Unsettling Jokes

Analysis:

The film doesn’t analyse some of the modern-day lessons related to relationship. The writing is pretty average and basic for a good part of the film.

The second half offers some interesting ideas. The ashram scene was not necessary but it was gently needed to nudge the film towards the forest track. The director is not brilliant but he can definitely go a long way if he sincerley narrates futuristic relationship dramas in the future.

A lot of the fate of LGM depends on the image of MS Dhoni. He is given homage through Yogi Babu’s funny character.

Verdict: Better To Stay Single or Watch it for your own risk.
