Manchu Vishnu is currently immersed in the filming of his ambitious project ‘Kannappa’, a fantasy drama that has successfully wrapped up its second schedule. In an intriguing turn of events, Vishnu has expanded his horizons into the realm of literature by having the story of Kannappa published as a book. This endeavor culminated in the book’s launch on the occasion of his father Mohan Babu’s birthday.
The book launch was made even more memorable with the esteemed presence of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who graced the event and unveiled the book titled “Kannappa Story Book Volume 1.” The launch unfolded amidst the students of Sree Vidya Niketan in Tirupathi, infusing an element of education and culture into the festivities. The book serves as a comic book adaptation of the inspiring tale of Bhakta Kannappa. Expressing his sentiments regarding this endeavor, Vishnu remarked, “I desired to share the story of Kannappa with everyone. Both the comic book and the movie are a manifestation of my dream to bring this captivating narrative to the world. I aimed to empower young individuals to embrace their history, and I’m contributing my part towards that.”
Mohan Babu’s birthday celebration was a grand spectacle, with throngs of fans and school children participating in the festivities. In his address, Mohanlal lauded Mohan Babu for his remarkable efforts in educating thousands of children at minimal costs. ‘Kannappa’, helmed by director Mukesh Kumar Singh, features cinematography by Sheldon Chau and action sequences by Kecha Khamphakdee. The film’s musical score is entrusted to the renowned Prabhu Deva. Vishnu Manchu spearheads the film’s production on a lavish scale, with much of the shooting progressing swiftly in New Zealand.
