Review of GOD Movie: Actress Nayanthara returns to the screen in “GOD” following her recent release, “Jawan.” The film also stars Jayam Ravi in the lead role. If you’re considering watching the movie, let’s delve into the review before you book your tickets.

Plot: Arjun (Jayam Ravi) is a stern assistant commissioner who doesn’t hesitate to bring criminals to justice. Arjun has a close friend and colleague, Andrew, whom he considers a part of his own family. Brahmi (Rahul), a psychopathic killer, kidnaps women and brutally murders them. Arjun’s team enters the scene to apprehend Rahul. During the process, Arjun loses his best friend, Andrew, leading him to resign from his job to seek revenge against Brahmi. What unfolds in the city after Brahmi escapes from jail, and how Andrew seeks vengeance, forms the core of the story.

Jayam Ravi excels in his role with a fierce presence and natural acting. Nayanthara’s character has limited screen time and does not significantly contribute to the film, making her absence hardly noticeable. It’s essentially Jayam Ravi’s one-man show, but the rest of the cast also delivers commendable performances.

Pros:

  • Jayam Ravi’s performance
  • Engaging interval scenes
  • Suspenseful moments

Cons:

  • A somewhat sluggish first half
  • The screenplay could be more refined

Verdict: GOD offers maximum entertainment in the second half and is worth a one-time watch.
