‘UI’: A Very Interactive Film Says Hero Upendra

Kannada Superstar Upendra is all set to dazzle audiences with his much-anticipated futuristic extravaganza, UI: The Movie. Produced by Lahari Films, G. Manoharan & Venus Entertainers’ KP Srikanth, this high-budget film is co-produced by Naveen Manoharan. Geeta Film Distributors will release it grandly in Telugu. Created a massive buzz with sensational promotional content, the film is set to release on December 20. During a press conference, Upendra shared details about the movie.

The Concept of ‘UI’

Upendra explained that the idea for ‘UI’ stemmed from the limitations of our education system, which teaches in a rote manner. He aimed to bring a fresh perspective and new thinking into storytelling. “UI is an interactive film where viewers will decode many aspects themselves. It’s a metaphorical movie,” he said.

Audience Interaction

According to Upendra, the real stars are the audience members who watch the film in theaters. He believes audiences are above even filmmakers, as they interact deeply with the film.

Aamir Khan’s Appreciation

He expressed joy that Aamir Khan appreciated the film, saying it was a testament to Khan’s greatness and was helpful for the team.

Courage in Storytelling

Upendra admitted that he doesn’t know where his courage to tell bold stories comes from, but he follows his gut feeling. “Angels fear to tread where fools rush in,” he quipped with a smile.

Technical Aspects and Look

Director Shivarajkumar has created a surreal world with different sets that initially seem strange but make sense upon decoding. Music director Ajaneesh Loknath provided a wonderful score, recorded in Hungary. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes and is paced quickly to maintain engagement.

Personal Preferences

Upendra shared that he enjoys working with Allu Arjun, his favorite actor, and director Trivikram. Though offered more Telugu films, his other commitments kept him from accepting them.

Sequels and Philosophical Angles

He doesn’t plan sequels for his films but is open to new ideas. Upendra prefers addressing solutions rather than just problems, aiming to provoke thought among audiences.

Unique Posters and Production Support

The film’s unique posters are designed by artist Nagabhushan. Upendra praised the producers for their significant contribution and personal interest, crediting them for the film’s scale and success.

Working with Rajinikanth

Working with Rajinikanth on the film “Coolie” was a dream come true for Upendra, calling it a wonderful experience.
