Anand Deverakonda’s Pushpaka Vimanam has opened to mixed reviews from all quarters. The film is directed by Damodar. It is produced by Govardhan Rao Deverakonda, Pradeep Errabelli, Vijay Mattapalli under Vijay Deverakonda presents. Vijay Deverakonda has promoted the film but it failed to earn positive reviews from the audience. Here’s our Chitraseema review for our dear readers.
Plot: Chittilanka Sundar (Anand) is a government school teacher. He gets married to Meenakshi (Geeth Saini). Sadly, Meenakshi gets eloped with another man. Sundar hides it from neighbors and colleagues, as they would laugh at him. Things get worse for Sudhakar when he comes to know a shocking truth about his wife. Meenakshi gets murdered by someone. Why she gets murdered? Who’s behind her murder forms the story.
Performance: Anand Deverakonda as Sundar looks so convincing. The innocent looks of Anand Deverkaonda when he is searching for his wife is quite believable. He did a fantastic job in impressing the audience with his character. Geeth Saini gets a crucial role and does well within her limitations. she showcased good comedy and her expressions are also very good. But the other lead, Saanve Meghana is good in her role. She will be seen more movies in future. Sunil does well in his cop’s role but audience feel that his character was dragged a bit. Naresh is quite good as a the head master. The fun generated in the first half is quite impressive and the way both serious emotions and comedy is interlinked has been executed well. After seeing the trailers everyone will think that the film is a laugh riot but it is not. The makers bring a muder mystery into the story and though it is decent, the execution could have been effective. Geet Saini and Saanve Meghana gave decent performa ance in the film. Sunil yet again nailed in cop’s role.
Plus Points:
BGM
Few comedy scenes
Minus Points:
Second half
Weak characterization of the support cast
Verdict: Pushpaka Vimanam is a routine drama with no twists and turns. The film would have been better if the climax and screenplay was tighter as it would attract the audience. Weak climax same as the film. Thumbs down for this Pushpaka Vimanam.
Chitraseema Rating: 2/5
