Pushpa 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 29: Directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa 2: The Rule hit theatres on December 5. The Pushpa team proudly shared on social media that the film had grossed over ₹1799 crore in just 28 days worldwide. Along with a new poster featuring Arjun as Pushpa Raj, they stated, “#Pushpa2TheRule is RULING THE INDIAN BOX OFFICE with its record-breaking run. The WILDFIRE BLOCKBUSTER GROSSES 1799 CRORES WORLDWIDE in 4 weeks.” This impressive total brings the film closer to Dangal’s record of over ₹2000 crore worldwide.
According to Sacnilk, Pushpa 2: The Rule collected ₹69.75 crore net in four weeks, bringing its total to ₹1189.85 crore net in India. Even after nearly a month since its release, the film continues to perform robustly at the box office despite competing releases. However, the upcoming Sankranthi releases, particularly Shankar’s Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer, may impact its collections.
On December 4, Arjun attended the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. Unfortunately, the event turned chaotic, resulting in the tragic death of a woman and the critical hospitalization of her young son. Arjun was arrested on December 13, but while the Nampally court ordered a 14-day remand, the Telangana HC granted him interim bail.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has requested an action taken report from the Hyderabad police chief within four weeks. The NHRC has also called for an investigation into the stampede case by a senior-ranked police officer and has demanded “needful action” based on a complaint that alleges the police’s ‘lathi charge’ caused the chaos leading to the woman’s death.
