Pushpa 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 15: Allu Arjun’s Film Nears Baahubali 2, Earns ₹1508 Crores

Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, has become the biggest hit of the actor’s career, continuing to pull in double-digit earnings even two weeks post-release. On its 15th day in theaters, the film garnered ₹17.75 crores, bringing its nett domestic total to ₹990.7 crores, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Pushpa 2, initially made in Telugu but released nationwide in various languages, has seen greater success in its Hindi version compared to Telugu. Remarkably, within two weeks, it has surpassed the box office numbers of Stree 2, the year’s biggest Hindi-language hit. Out of the ₹990.7 crore total, Pushpa 2 has earned ₹621.6 crores in Hindi, ₹295.6 crores in Telugu, ₹52.4 crores in Tamil, ₹13.97 crores in Malayalam, and ₹7.13 crores in Kannada. In comparison, Stree 2 made ₹598 crores during its entire theatrical run. With the holiday season approaching, Pushpa 2 is poised to rake in even more at the box office.

On Day 15, the film saw an overall Telugu occupancy of 18.93%, with 481 shows in Hyderabad witnessing around 23% occupancy and 459 shows in Bengaluru seeing 10% occupancy. In Hindi, Pushpa 2 had an overall occupancy of 17.43%, with Mumbai featuring 1152 shows at 19.25% occupancy and the Delhi-NCR region hosting 1572 shows at 14% occupancy.

Pushpa 2 has become the third-highest grossing Indian film of all time, trailing only Dangal and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Dangal earned ₹2000 crores globally after its release in China, while Baahubali 2 made over ₹1788 crores. Pushpa 2 has already earned ₹1508 crores in India, according to producers Mythri Movie Makers. Despite facing some competition from Varun Dhawan’s Baby John in the Hindi region, Pushpa 2 is expected to surpass Baahubali 2‘s collections by the end of its run.

Tragically, the film’s success is overshadowed by an incident at its Hyderabad premiere, where a woman died in a stampede attended by the film’s star, Allu Arjun. Her nine-year-old son remains critically injured in the hospital. Allu Arjun was previously arrested in connection with her death, and his security team, along with the theater owners, were named in the police complaint.
