Allu Arjun’s latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, continues its remarkable run at the Indian box office since its theatrical release. The film is well on its way to reaching the ₹1,200 crore milestone domestically.
In its opening week, Pushpa 2 amassed ₹725.8 crore, followed by ₹264.8 crore in the second week and ₹129.5 crore in the third week. On its fourth Friday, the film collected ₹8.75 crore, ₹12.5 crore on Saturday, ₹15.65 crore on Sunday, and around ₹6.65 crore on Monday.
As of the 26th day, Pushpa 2 has garnered a total of ₹1,163.65 crore at the Indian box office. This includes ₹758.65 crore from Hindi shows and ₹326.31 crore from Telugu shows. The Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions contributed ₹56.95 crore, ₹14.12 crore, and ₹7.62 crore, respectively. According to the film trade portal Sacnilk, the Hindi shows had an overall theatrical occupancy of 16.48%, while the Telugu shows had 16.23%.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed support for Allu Arjun in the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident. Kalyan emphasized that the law applies equally to all and did not blame the police for their actions during such events. He also mentioned that theater staff should have informed Allu Arjun about any issues beforehand and that it would have been better if someone had visited the victim’s family earlier on behalf of Allu Arjun. Kalyan expressed deep sorrow over Revathi’s death in the incident, highlighting that it turned an already tragic situation into an even greater loss.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is the second installment of the Pushpa film series and the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. The film revolves around a mafia kingpin struggling to sustain his sandalwood business amid a continuing rivalry with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The star-studded cast includes Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, and Rao Ramesh. Pushpa 2 was released in theaters worldwide on December 5, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
