Mani Rathnam’s Magnum Opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 has released in theatres a month ago, the film has come up with heavy expectations among the audience. But shocking it has failed to leave up to the expectations.
The closing collections of the film are shocking, according to our sources the film has reportedly collected 321crs at the ticket counters. Which are the lowest figures for a highly anticipated film? Everyone thought that the film would collect at least 800 to 1000 crs at the box office. As the film is based on the native story, the film dint connect to most of the audience.
Guess what, PS2 collections are lesser compared to the prequel of the film, Ponniyin Selvan 2 has garnered 450crs at the box office. After doing wide promotion across the country, the makers are upset with the poor output. The film will stream on Amazon Prime soon.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 has a huge star cast of Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, and others in lead roles. The periodic drama is financed by Lyca Productions, Oscar winner AR Rahman composed music for the film.
