Tollywood producers met AP Minister Perni Nani in Machilipatnam today to discuss the issues about the film industry. After the meeting, producers addressed the media. Speaking on this occasion, producer Dil Raju said that the minister was appalled at how much the film industry had suffered during the coronavirus pandemic. He also said that the minister had been brought to the attention of the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that how COVID-19 has impacted the film industry.

He also told that the problem that comes up will have an impact on the producers. That is why the persons were asked not to politicize the problems of the film industry. “To maintain the transparency, we had only requested the government to sell tickets online,” Dil Raju said.

Another Producer Sunil Narang said that the cinema industry and politics are different. If someone says something… they have nothing to do with it. He also clarified that their intention behind asking the government to sell tickets online is to increase the occupancy in cinema theatres.
