In the midst of her legal battle with actor Dhanush, actress Nayanthara has taken to Instagram to share a cryptic message about karma.
On Friday, Nayanthara posted an Instagram story that read: Karma Says!!! When you destroy someone’s life with lies, take it as a loan; it will come back to you with interest.
This post comes shortly after Dhanush filed a lawsuit against Nayanthara and her filmmaker husband Vignesh Shivan. The lawsuit is over the unauthorized use of clips from the film “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan” in their Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale.
During a recent hearing at the Madras High Court on November 27, Justice Abdul Quiddhose directed Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and others to respond to Dhanush’s allegations. The actor has also sent a legal notice to the couple, demanding ₹10 crore in damages if they continue to use the disputed clips.
In response, Nayanthara’s lawyer clarified that no copyright laws were violated. Rahul Dhawan, representing Nayanthara, explained that the footage used in the documentary came from the actor’s personal library and not from Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films Private Limited.
The controversy intensified when Nayanthara posted an open letter on Instagram on November 16, criticizing Dhanush for his legal actions. She wrote, “What’s even more shocking is your legal notice after the release of the trailer of the Netflix documentary…This is an all-time low from you and speaks so much about your character.”
