Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is eagerly waiting for the release of his upcoming film Custody, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual film is helmed by Venkat Prabhu and is slated for release on 12th May 2023. The gorgeous lady Krithi Shetty is the female lead in the filM. Let’s check out whether his efforts are paid off or not. Here is the genuine review and rating of Custody.
Plot: Shiva (Naga Chaitanya) is an innocent and sincere police officer, who is committed to his work. He becomes popular after he obstructs the Chief Minister(Priyamani). Meanwhile, he has a love track with Revathi (Krithi Shetty) since childhood, and the duo wants to get married. Unfortunately, Shiva gets entangled between Sampath Raj and Aravind Swamy, which leads Naga Chaitanya on a journey with Aravind Swamy. This will change the fate of Shiva. What is the quarrel between the both? what is the journey about? Will Shiva tie the knot to Krithi Shetty, to know this one has to watch the film.
Performance: Akkineni Naga Chaitanya was seen in a half-colour in the film, look wise he wasn’t much impressive. He was a bit dulcet to play that powerful cop role, which was not needed. He would have pulled off his role much better. the gorgeous lady got enough screen space in the film and she has done justice to her role. The love track between the duo added much colour to the film, Aravind Swamy bagged another epic role in his kitty, his performance and attitude as an antagonist in the film is appreciable, he has carried his role perfectly. Priyamani and Sarath Kumar were good at their roles.
Tamil director Venkat Prabhu has his separate style of making films, but it takes much time for the Telugu audience to adopt it. Though the film had good content and mind-blowing twists, the director’s slow narration dominated the story. The film goes on with a slow pace till the end, which had tested the audience’s patience.
Music composers Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shanker Raja disappointed viewers with their poor BGM, songs are BGM nothing has put an impact on the film, in fact, the poor music composition has been a major drawback for the film, which was not expected from them. The production values are high, the cinematography is decent.
The editor has completely failed in delivering a good output, the film had too much lag in it.
