The dispute between Nayanthara and Dhanush over the usage of footage from the film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ in the documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale‘ has escalated. Dhanush has filed a civil suit against Nayanthara at the Madras High Court, seeking relief.
According to recent developments, the Madras High Court has instructed Nayanthara to respond to the civil suit filed by Dhanush in the next hearing. The lawsuit also names Vignesh Shivan and their production house as defendants.
Dhanush’s lawyers have reportedly requested to file an additional application to sue Netflix affiliates based in Mumbai. The issue began when Dhanush refused to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the usage of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ footage in the documentary.
Nayanthara had previously called out Dhanush on social media, expressing her disappointment and frustration with the situation. The actress had penned an open letter to Dhanush, highlighting the challenges she faced as a self-made woman in the film industry and the impact of his actions on her documentary.
