Rowdy boy Vijay Deverakonda and director Puri Jagannadh are still unable to come out from Liger’s failure, as it’s one of the biggest disasters in the duo’s career. The film was released at the Pan-Indian level with expectations, but it failed miserably at the ticket counters.
Liger has not only ruined Vijay and Puri’s career but the exhibitors and leasers faced huge losses with this film. Though Puri paid the losses and Vijay returned half of his remuneration, still it couldn’t reach the losses that the exhibitors have faced.
Now the exhibitors and the leaser are protesting at the film Chamber for compensation for their losses, they demand that the producers should pay their losses which were occurred by Liger. It is yet to be seen how the makers react to their protest or not.
The film was made with a hefty budget of 200crs but the film has collected only 60crs at the box office.
The film is helmed by Puri Jagannadh and jointly produced by Charmee, Puri Jagannadh and Karan Johar under Puri Connects and Dharma Productions.
Liger featured Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey in lead roles, and legendary boxer Mike Tyson played a special cameo in the film.
