As she is trending on social media for her latest achievement, we thought of catching up with her about her upcoming projects, how the romantic comedy shaped her career on Telugu silverscreen.

Q) Congratulations for being nominated as Best Debutant Actress for SIIMA
I’m really fortunate to receive a lot of love from the Telugu audience. I’m very honoured to have nominated for the award. I keep putting up effort to continue the momentum in the future.

Q) What’s your parents reaction when they have heard as you are nominated for SIIMA?
They were so happy and excited as my work got recognised by the people. I couldn’t thank the audience for making it happen. They are the reason for it. I also wholeheartedly thank my whole team for their support and giving a beautiful role for me in ‘Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna’.

Q) How does it feel? Whom do you give the credit?
I will give credit to my team, without them, I wouldn’t have made it. They are the ultimate reason for it.

Q) How did you prep for this role?
I gained a lot of weight for ‘Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna’. It became tough for me to lose it after the film was out on OTT. Later, it was quite difficult to shed weight of 10 kgs. I’m extremely happy that my hard work has been paid off.

Q) As actor what genre of movies do you enjoy the most?
I would love to do all types of genres. I’ll be extra cautious in choosing film scripts. I want to entertain the audience and I will look forward for the characters which will leave a huge impact among the audience. I have a couple of films in pipeline which are in different stages of productions. Currently, I’m working on the film titled ‘Ghoda’, I’ll be playing a female-centric role in the film. I’ll enjoy any genre as long as it is meaningful.

Q) Is there anyone who you idolise in the Telugu film industry?
I admire and wish to work with all Tollywood stars. They have been in the industry for more than a few decades. I have just begun my journey and they are my inspiration. I want to reach into the heights like them one day.

Q) What’s your take on films getting released on OTT platforms?
Actually, I think its a great medium for interesting stories to be told of all genre. OTT gives you the freedom to explore characters and stories in depth which make it more meaningful sometimes.

Q) What are the other projects currently you are working on?
Currently, I have been occupied with two movies in Telugu which are being produced under the banner UV Creations. I wish I could work with stars like Prabhas one day as UV creations is his home banner that produced ‘Baahubali’ franchise. He is one of the phenomenal actor whom I admire a lot in my life.
