Akkineni Akhil‘s latest film Agent has been washed out from the theatres. The film got mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. Mammootty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya are also part of Agent. Urvashi Rautela was also seen in Item song and she charged Rs 7 cr as her remuneration, even Urvashi song couldn’t save the film. Anil Sunkara, took the blame for the film’s rejection by audiences and critics.
Producer Anil stated on Twitter, “We have to take the entire blame for #Agent. Though we know its an uphill task, we thought of conquering but failed to do so as we did a blunder starting the project without a bound script & innumerable issues including covid followed. We don’t want to give any excuses but learn from this costly mistake and see how we can turnaround to make sure, we will never repeat the mistakes. Our sincere apologies to all those who put trust on us. We will make it up for the losses with dedicated planning & hardwork in our future projects.”
Mumurs are doing the rounds that Akkineni Nagarjuna is said to have forced Anil Sunkara to take the blame of Agent as it will not affect Akhil’s career. Netizens bashed Akhil for his poor acting skills, no doubt, Akhil is the main reason for the film’s failure, script is the second thing. Netizens were trolling Akhil badly, Nagarjuna might have asked Anil Sunkara to take up the blame.
